We accept pretty much everything! Preferred payment is cash, check, Venmo or Zelle, but all major credit cards, except American Express, are accepted too!
Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time so we can review your intake form before you get on the table.
If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you are required to pay for the session in full.

Unlike many other studios where you pay an additional fee for add-ons, such as, cupping, hot stones, aromatherapy, muscle balms and arnica, here at Modern Alchemy Healing Arts, there are no additional fees for any of those special treatment enhancements.

You do not. To receive the full benefits of the massage it's important for you to completely relax your body and mind. If you are new to massage, leaving on your underwear may be more comfortable for you. Unless you are getting an Abhyanga massage, leaving on your underwear will not pose a problem. There are a myriad of techniques I can use over the sheet to address the hips and glutes.
Absolutely. If at any time you are feeling uncomfortable for any reason, please let me know. Your comfort is my number one priority. Moreover, accurate feedback helps me best determine the most effective treatment.
This is different for everyone, and it depends on a number of factors. However, what is important is finding a rhythm and timing that works with your schedule and your needs. If you make massage part of your self-care priorities, you will find that the benefits are cumulative. You will notice greater over-all improvement with consistent and regular sessions.
The treatment room is equipped with a HEPA filter and fans. The space is thoroughly sanitized between clients, and I allow ample spacing between sessions to air out the room.
