Integrated Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
This treatment is an integration of soft tissue and energy-based modalities designed to address your current needs and may include one or more of the following: Deep Massage - The Lauterstein Method, swedish, cupping massage, craniosacral, Zero Balancing, Reiki, and Hot Stones. Each session includes hot towels for the neck and feet as well as aromatherapy, which enhance relaxation.
Integrated therapeutic massage addresses a broad spectrum of needs. This treatment is especially good for those looking for relaxation, soothing the nervous system, or pain management. I am also able to address specific issues using a combination of techniques.
When addressing chronic or temporary pain, I consider your body’s needs as a whole---not just the area of pain. I work not only to lessen the pain but also to help determine its source or causes. Sometimes injuries affect muscle groups distantly connected. In addition to straight forward injury, many people experience pain due to repetitive motions or long periods of sitting; often individuals are not even aware of how a particular action they take daily may be contributing to their pain.
Massage for relaxation has health benefits as well. We live in a fast-paced society, and most people live with a certain degree of stress, which has been shown to lead to sleep issues, heart disease, high blood pressure, digestive issues, depression, and over-eating. Regular massage can help promote relaxation and benefit your health over a lifetime.
